In country after country, far-right populists offer easy solutions to often non-existent crises, fuelling xenophobia, jealousy, rage for votes. Once in power, they (ab)use their position, serve themselves, & keep people angry while solving nothing. Those who have not yet realised this don't want to.

#USA: Recently, I've come across posts of Americans complaining that their fellow citizens go through their days as though all was well & normal. It made me wonder: Maybe it's like Germany in the 1940s & many actively, intuitively avoid knowing bcs they fear the (personal, emotional) consequences.

So they managed to destroy Tim Walz, too, his reputation, career. I don't blame him for calling it quits. He has a life. Time to reclaim it. He's taken the brunt of so much defamation & attacks, often personal, often hateful. He would have made a great Vice President. The best America's never had.

Die ist dort nicht neu, aber grundsätzlich befristet, wurde also vermutl übersehen. Und die, die beiderseits räumten, mochten die 10m auch nicht mitmachen.
