Allegedly, Trump is named 1,500 times in the files ... that's a lot of TippEx.

On Monday, Spanish El País carried an article arguing what won the progressive vote in Ireland, NY, The Netherlands was *not* out-performing the far-right's anti-immigration agenda, but housing. I'm glad to see that you, too, refuse to enter the hate competition & implement real, positive change.
How housing became the key to winning elections in the West
Progressive political forces are increasingly taking the message away from the far right, posting recent victories in New York, the Netherlands and Ireland

Darn. Sorry, Steven. But they have the best baguettes!

Thank you. I might have enough for the whole neighbourhood 😁

Only on 🐦 ... you post a picture of the dinner you made (from scratch) and loved, and people reply with unsolicited improvements.

Cheers.
Remind me not to do this again.

It's a badly chosen photo. The perspective is awkward. Biden is behind Donald Trump. Trump moves on, then Barron shakes Biden's hand. Hang on.

Different attitudes to diversity: Some see scraps of fabric, others a patchwork blanket.

No doubt populists fuel anxiety & division to gather people behind them. It's the 'us' v 'them' that creates identity & belonging.

The difference: patriots love their home, nationalists hate everyone else.

I fervently hope not. The success of Zack Polanski gives me hope. Clearly, many people long for a different life, society, politics.

Last yr, our chemist had a separate stand for them, this year they've been relegated into the shelf - much fewer and hard to spot. Same with masks: Last yr by the till, this yr on the shelf. I haven't been to a hospital lately (thank heavens), but in our GP surgery I was the only one wearing a mask.

In Germany, a heat pump us 2.5 times more expensive than a gas heater & a small EV 4 times what I paid for my petrol car. Public transport is a health risk for me & my vulnerable family as people travel when ill, w/o mask or any consideration. You're right, of course, but life is more complicated.
