How do I explain to people that they're going to put all their opposition in prisons until they can just win any election period and so right now it's imperative we escalate our actions faster than they can respond because "don't give him pretext for thing he's already doing" isn't working.

I really wish we had a well funded, power critical fourth estate interested in investigating the source of this clearly coordinated effort by payment processors.

Like, we keep seeing the impact of it, but I really want to know the "who" and the "why" beyond nebulous surveillance/puritanism forces.

All the votes interviewed apparently don't regret their vote and are all pretty unified in approving of his policies on immigration so this is pure rationalization by people unwilling to admit that they wanted the evil shit but just aren't getting enough perks like they hoped for.
Billups voted for Trump hoping for cheaper healthcare and more transparent government spending. Although he sees little improvement on those fronts, Billups maintains Trump was still “probably the best option” in the 2024 election.

@Nick_Davidov Asked Claude Cowork organize my wife's desktop, it stated doing it, asked for a permission to delete temp office files, I granted it, and then it goes "ooops" Turns out it tried renaming and accidentally deleted a folder with all of the photos my wife made on her camera for the last 15 years. All photos of kids, their illustrations, friends' weddings, travel, everything. It's not in trash, it was done via terminal It's not in iCloud, it already synced the new file structure. She didn't have Time Machine. Disc recovery tools can't see anything. I called Apple and they pointed me to a feature in iCloud allowing to retrieve files that were saved before but are no longer on iCloud Drive (they keep them for 30 days). I'm now watching it load tens of thousands of files. I nearly had a heart attack.
