Nonsense. A "joint federal and state" investigation is the last thing we need. We need state prosecutors to do their job unhindered: indict the murderers for murder and indict Noem, Patel, Bovino, and Bondi for obstruction of justice.

The fact that he calls a poster a billboard is how I know this man has never been to a protest in his life
KARL: He was an ICU use who worked for the VA and there's no evidence he brandished the gun whatsoever

BESSENT: But he brought a gun

KARL: I mean, we do have a Second Amendment

BESSENT: I've been to a protest -- guess what? I didn't bring a gun. I brought a billboard

No notes.

I agree with Mr. Cruz on the economic argument here.
And I agree with Mr. Trump for telling Mr. Cruz, at any point and for any reason, to go fuck himself.

1. Wasn’t at a protest
2. Was disarmed when they shot him while he was face down
3. New gun rights rule: the second amendment is when conservatives can carry guns everywhere, but if anyone else has a gun we can kill him on sight

Chris Murphy: "This is really scary because what Bovino essentially told you is that if you just happen to be present when they are undertaking an operation, if you pull out your phone to record it, the use of force against you is justified. That is not true, it's not what the law says."

Wow. They even got Amy Klobuchar to stop talking about prices and affordability.
Klobuchar: "Somehow 50,000 peaceful protesters in 10 below weather were able to march without any problems, and then the next day half a dozen ICE and CBP agents couldn't handle a guy with a cell phone taking video of them and shot him. I think it's pretty obvious what's going on here."

I mean, the law in Minnesota literally says you can
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

And the 2A-breathed assholes have finally given up on
"guns don't kill people, people kill people" and are now resorting to, no, it's the guns.

In order to justify fascism, every principle and credo -- pretended or otherwise -- can and will be jettisoned.
From the NY Post. You know they are really scrambling when they are running "The gun was no angel" stories.

Violence at the hands of the state is nothing new and has been the reality for many non-white Americans since the very beginning. This needs to be top of mind when confronting what happens next and where we go from here.

Those who cops on the village green at Lexington with their muskets and the shot heard 'round the world. The guys in the red coats? Terrorists and agitators.
Attorney General Pam Bondi: "Our country was founded on law enforcement"
Bondi: "It's extremely organized. The signs they have are all matching, they're well written. And look at what's happening today. How did these people go out & get gas masks? These protesters. Would you know how to walk out on the street and buy a gas mask? Think about that. We're not gonna have it"

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

I spent the last year writing a book about the ridiculous demands of what it means to be masculine. But a guy who takes care of people who served our country, asks a woman “are you ok?” When she is in distress and looks out for his vulnerable neighbors seems like a pretty good role model for a man.
