The way supposed allies react with shock when I tell them blockers suck give teenagers hormones and don't require parental consent 👍
as I said, puberty blockers were always a bad compromise, trans kids deserve HRT and the cis will never be happy either way so compromising with them on a solution that is bad for trans kids was always gonna backfire
And let's not even get started on the absurdity of looking for a positive impact from a preventative measure, where the expected outcome is "not getting worse"

They have to come for children because children are usually less willing to accept "thats just the way it is" as an explanation for why they cant do things. Adults all carry the trauma of having that "WHY?" beaten out of them, and so are often willing participants in passing that violence along

The only truly irreversible thing a trans child is likely to do is take their own life. "What if they do something irreversible?" actually means "theyre not allowed to make a decision!"

Not gonna engage with the puberty blocker trial story cause as someone who had the experience of going through the medical gatekeeping before getting them was pretty traumatic and my experience is luxurious compared to whats happening in the uk now and its just too upsetting honestly

Are there ANY medical treatments that require this many pre-requisites? This is designed to exhaust patients so that they age out of the system.

The “Pathways” trial is, IMO on more than one level, a thoroughly unethical piece of “research” to be carrying out on children, especially children who are part of a marginalised minority.
