Finished The Persephone Effect.
I think I need to sit with it all a little while to really put my thoughts together, but GODS what a book
I laughed, I cried, I felt ill, I cried some more. I spent half of it with my hand clamped over my mouth muttering "oh no oh nooo"
I can't recommend it enough.

I think I need to sit with it all a little while to really put my thoughts together, but GODS what a book

Hm I think part of the reason Adrastus was so immediately a hit for me even in the previous books before Persephone Effect is that he is, by design, the failed child; something that hits really close to personal experience I feel.

I've been asked a few times about the meaning behind the name of the temple Madalithea serves at, so I'll post my answer here
metén - this was inspired by μέτειμι (to pass between/beyond and μετόν (after, as I understand it, but I'm not an expert)

read chapters 3 and 4 of Persephone Effect today, and it's fuuuuun! the sync was sweet, Persephone being mean to Madalithea is fun to read because i'm a sicko and really like both characters, and the Adrastus & Pesephone bickering is very fun. i'm really enjoying it!
