Trump is president to begin with because a critical share of Americans don't really care about norms and legalities. As a matter of politics, probably best to say that this was the act of a stupid and dishonest man, who doesn't really care about drugs, that could pull us into a deeper conflict.

The new Madison Common Council YIMBY index is up at Councilytics.com! (blame AI for pics). You can also see meeting summaries from almost all Plan Com., Urban Design, and Landmarks meetings in 2025 (written by real non-AI people). Consider chipping in at buymeacoffee.com/councilytics. More to come.

This right here.👇🏻 It’s a broad vision for a better America, backed by policies that will deliver it in combination.

Not a bandaid on a bullet wound to defend the failed status quo. A $100 tax credit if you jump thru 3 hoops isn’t it.
Especially notable is that while some pundits may frame his speech as focusing on "kitchen sink" topics (free buses, etc.), his broader point was to redefine freedom (or reengage with the New Deal definition), and the role of government to ensure it.

Trump’s second presidency is clearly a failure already but the next Democratic president *has* to be an FDR or Lincoln figure in order to save the republic from these people.

If we elect another Biden, Harris, Clinton, or even Obama, the country WILL fail.

Only radical change will solve this.
i don't think this is going to end well, guys

Between Abolish ICE and Israel/Gaza, think it’s long overdue for centrists and liberals to ask why leftists were right years ahead of them.

NOT getting rid of this agency is national suicide.

Doomerism in December is still cowardly preemptive surrender, but now also requires ignoring all the non-doomer things that have happened over the year.
I’m not gonna dunk on some small depressed account, but one reply I get to this is “you think there’s gonna be elections/Trump will listen to judges??” And I wonder how people haven’t noticed that Garcia is home and free and Republicans got crushed in elections this year
