A lot of people invoking Gramsci’s ‘old is dying, new is not yet born - morbid symptoms’ etc etc quote at the moment. It’s good - but on Gramsci’s birthday be ‘more Gramsci’ and don’t just rely on the ‘quotable quotes’ and, well, … read Gramsci. Buon compleanno compagno

On Tuesday, the Israeli military invaded Birzeit University, attacking students with live ammunition.

Israel's scholasticide is a core part of its attempt to obliterate the collective life of the Palestinian people.

We have written to Yvette Cooper urging the British government to take action.

We strongly condemn the military raid by Israeli forces on the campus of Birzeit University in Palestine.

Attacks on education communities are violations of human rights and international law.

Education International stands in solidarity with Birzeit University.

With our current industrial action mandate nearly expired and strike action called off after winning our demand for no compulsory redundancies through most of next year, our branch saw the need to keep up the pressure against the administration.
