He/him/here for browsing more than posting. Always happy to talk about comics or Ghostbusters. Stephanie is my favorite Robin, but she and Cass are perfect Batgirls.

Trans rights are human rights.

Have a good day!

Please don't feel you have to respond if I say something nice to you; social media is super weird how it engenders assumed intimacy between strangers.

Take care!

Here is the blueprint for a leftist movement: look at your city/county/state leg district. Is it out of sync with its voters? Explain how. Find a person with charisma who also loves a boring meeting. Knock on doors and meet a lot of voters. Try again as needed.

Today is the first anniversary of this post. I'm still looking for more work/a new job. If anyone here is looking for a culture journalist with deep experience in reporting, critical analysis, cover stories, etc, let's connect. Highlights of my work are below. Full portfolio and email are in my bio.
As I am back on the job hunt (and, in the meantime, the freelance work hunt), I'm dropping a thread of some of my proudest work here for consideration. Contact info and journalism portfolio are both linked in my bio. www.huffpost.com/entry/future...

The news that Max has ended its partnership with the iconic series raises questions about whether the show really abandoned its mission years ago.

I think Newsom's a dipshit and I approve of this message.
i am a hard-core vote blue no matter who voter. part of that means PRIMARIES AREN'T GENERAL ELECTIONS. i liked lander in nyc, but when he lost, i supported mamdani--as did lander! that's how it works!

since it is not currently a general election:

On top of what Joe said, the proclamation as Newsom signed it, makes a VERY clear point differentiating between Reagan's view of immigration reform and the current Republican view. Basically, Newsom said, "Three cheers for Ronald Reagan, who offered immigrants a pathway to citizenship. Neener."
Newsom did what every governor of CA since Gray Davis has done, and what a literal California law--SB944--signed by Gov. Terminator dictates must be done: "The Governor shall annually proclaim February 6 as Ronald Reagan Day."

Lots of reasons to loathe Newsom. Him following the law is not one, IMHO

CA Government Code 6723 states that "The Governor shall annually proclaim February 6 as Ronald Reagan Day."

I dislike Newsom, but more for the stupid shit he does that isn't mandated by state law, like going on dumbass podcasts.

You know where I see this a lot?

Pet adoption.

Maladjusted people who feel a need to save something instead of work on themselves and elevate it to a weird level.

Nothing against pet adoption. I own 2 shelter dogs myself...but if you've adopted, you've run into the type.

The reasons to oppose Gavin Newsom as primary pick are less about believing he's a firm anti-queer crusader and more recognizing that he's an unpopular California governor whose instincts and judgment are decidedly flawed.
sure is weird that he's signing all these pro-trans bills then

Critical reminder that oratory and comms is not the mark of a good legislative leader, its counting, which is deceptively hard to do apparently.
I have a lot of criticisms of Jeffries but he is actual good at his actual job (counting to 218)

i think about this constantly. tradwife culture absolutely is a kink and no one will acknowledge that it's basically a 24/7 BDSM arrangement but done in an extremely unsafe and dangerous way.
kinksters who can't/won't acknowledge they're participating in kink are a huge social problem right now, imo. ai gooners, trad influencers and breeding-obsessed politicians are all (among other things) perverts who insist they hate perverts.
