This story confirms something I’ve long held: everyone who can afford a home in Georgetown doesn’t deserve it and should sign their deed over to me

Also like, the Dem leadership can't make a big show of making it about healthcare because it's the only issue that polls well enough for them to risk taking a stand on, blow out the Republicans in state and local elections in apparent vindication of that strategy, and then cave on healthcare anyway.
I personally do not think maintaining federal employee jobs should be priority number one when more and more parts of the federal government are being used to institute a police state

one of the reasons voters believe the caricatures of the democratic party pushed by republicans is because the democratic party itself believes in the caricatures of the democratic party pushed by republicans
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇

BREAKING AND CRAZY: The NY Times reported Trump is demanding DOJ give him $230 million as "compensation" for federal investigations into him.

Trump is using his position as president to take from us (the U.S. Treasury) and pay himself.

The Supreme Court's Republican appointees sound ready to transform the 14th and 15th Amendments into a weapon against the very racial minorities they were meant to protect—handing Republicans 15-19 additional House seats in the process. A disaster for democracy.

One of my favorite moments from Nobel Prize history:

The Nobel Committee couldn’t reach Stanford professor Paul Milgrom to let him know that he had been awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics, so his fellow winner, Robert Wilson, went over to his house in the middle of the night to wake him up!

NEW — Freedom Flotilla Coalition says there may soon be an attempt by Israel to intercept the Global Sumud Flotilla. Say radars show roughly 12 unidentified vessels, just 5-15 miles away.

Some flotilla boats seem to be losing connection, possibly experiencing signal jamming.

I was pretty confident the admin would go full ham. What I didn't really expect was the degree to which the democratic party specifically would just... give up fighting
Come on, why is everyone dogpiling this? Very few people suspected the breadth of the cuts to the federal government, nor that so many institutions (and at times, the opposition) would simply roll over and let entire agencies be unconstitutionally dismantled.
This. This administration is even worse than any of us thought possible. Who had destroy NIH, CDC, USAID, EPA, scientific research all at the same time on their bingo card?

I have always gotten the sense that membership in European sports federations goes a really long way towards convincing Israelis they have international support. (they can't participate in Asian competitions bc so many nations refuse to play them)
"A majority of the UEFA 20-member executive committee is expected to support any vote in favor of suspending Israeli teams from international play, two sources told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject." www.espn.com/soccer/story...
Report: UEFA expected to vote to suspend Israel
European soccer body UEFA is moving toward a vote to suspend its member federation Israel over the war in Gaza, people familiar with the proposal told The Associated Press on Thursday.

WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

unilateral polarization of the right is in fact the big problem facing the democratic world but unfortunately you cannot stop it by lying about why it is happening
