Star trek yes please and thank you. Working on my shit. Former courtwatch organizer. Former regional field director for the WA dems in 2018 (was working to elect Lisa Brown). Posting criticisms of spokane government - The police are defunding Spokane

So fucking upset that I spent half a year or so working 80-90 hour weeks primarily to get Lisa Brown elected to congress. I was in meetings with her every other week, I know she's been to protests before, I know she knows how this works. Utterly despicable

this speaker with caarpr says there were involved in negotiations over the ecps ordinance, which created the ccpsa, furious with the commission as the audience drowns out president terry.

In light of an ICE agent killing a woman who posed no threat to him and the fed gov’s amazingly calloused response to it, these reforms seem more urgent than ever.

The police have always lied and abused, but many folks were cool with that as long as they targeted Black teenagers. Well, there are consequences for that mindset.

Calling up the national guard or local police to quell protest against mass deportations and ICE murder is an act of collaboration. When will one of our supposed opposition leaders actually lead?

We all have bad days. This is a terrible, enraging, grief-stricken one. Maybe your hope is gone today. That’s ok. I’ll give you some of mine until yours returns.

They will not win. They cannot build. They only destroy. They have already lost. They just don’t know it yet.

She was not alone.

Immigration agents have shot at least 14 people over the past year. That includes:

-3 people who were observing ICE.

-5 people who were driving away.

-4 people who’ve been killed.

-5 people injured.

I just really cannot stop saying enough that the "normal" a lot of people want to go back to is the one where the police can just do this to black people and the Democrats just give them more funding to do it.

What we've seen today is just an escalation of that very idea.

Any one of us could be shot or kidnapped because an ICE agent doesn’t like the look of us. Are you prepared to be murdered in cold blood while “news” sources repeat the claim you were “weaponizing your vehicle” trying to leave your driveway? They want you to accept that. They want to make it normal

I think George w Bush invading Iraq because Saddam Hussein tried to kill his dad explains a lot about the current moment. US foreign policy is absolutely about imperialism, colonialism and resource extraction, but it is also absolutely about petty personal bullshit and ego

If Maduro is not a prisoner of war and is a criminal defendant then he has a right to a consular visit. This is not optional
Judge: Mr. Wishba, will you arrange that?
AUSA: We will look into it-
Judge: And inform me.
AUSA: The 5(f) order...
Judge: I'll do it. The government has a duty to produce discovery, I'll enter a written order

The reason we did gitmo and military tribunals and all that is because the Bush administration new that there was a very good chance that charges would get thrown out in federal court. Worried that they aren't worried about this with maduro

Senator Chris Murphy openly admits how pathetic Congress has been about standing up to presidents from both parties on war.

CNN:  Congress has become, frankly, impotent on issues and matters of war.

SEN. MURPHY: That's absolutely true.
