I hope those same mistakes are not made this time. It's important that these men face consequences. It's just as important that the children they abused, now women, get continued support and protection through this.

From what I've been able to tell, it appears we are on pace to triple arrests of unhoused folks since the new anti homeless ordinance in Spokane. Simply being charged with a crime is being used as grounds for deportation, regardless of guilt. We need to change course

It's really important to remember, mass incarceration drives mass deportation. So if for example you are a city council that passed new laws criminalizing homelessness, you are not only exposing these folks to the traumas of our carceral system, you are also putting some of them in the hands of ICE
