‪Doctors say that vaccines protect children from dangerous diseases. A nepo baby who barbecues dogs and snorts cocaine off toilet seats says that vaccines make children vulnerable to 5G radiation. For busy parents, it can be hard to know who to trust.

Nearing the halfway point on my Casefic Exchange Fic. I might be able to finish it this weekend? Probably more likely to be next weekend, though. I've only got two more chapters of "Tender Care" to write, and that has priority.

Luna has gotten bigger, which means her jumping power has increased.

Earlier today, she leapt from the footstool to my shoulder when I was sitting down. I was not expecting that. That was new.

Post-colonoscopy reflections. The reason I am choosing to talk about this publicly is because colonoscopies can save lives, and I want to encourage everyone to get them at the recommended time.

Colonoscopy Prep Morning Of: I don't feel great but I feel better than I expected. (I did get 2k written lol.) I'm hungry but not ravenous.

I started One Piece (live action) today.

I'm glad the series wasn't afraid of looking silly. I respect it committing to the bit.

Okay, as first day of colonoscopy prep draws to an end: unpleasant but now as bad as I feared. We'll see how I feel in the morning.

Chadwick Boseman and James van der Beek both died in their 40s of an illness that's treatable if a colonoscopy catches it but almost no insurer covers them for people under 45, this is what Engels meant by "social murder"

I've got about 1k left on "Tender Care" Chapter 17. Plan is to finish that after "lunch". I'm going to try to get a start on Chapter 18 after that, but if prep wipes me out too much, I might just watch One Piece.

What's so amazing about Jim Henson as a puppeteer is that he could literally be explaining that Kermit is made out of felt and ping pong balls and yet Kermit still feels alive the whole time he's doing it

New pronoun labeler! If you haven't used this before, it's great, I love knowing the best pronouns to use.

1) Subscribe to the labeler
2) Go to the pinned post
3) Like the post(s) for your pronouns
4) If yours has a slash in it like they/them, scroll wayyyyy down, they're there!
The pronoun labeler, which was by far the most useful labeler on the site, was deleted by its creator. But thanks to @ripperoni.com there’s a new one available. I highly recommend it. It’s a great way to share your pronouns or see someone else’s pronouns at a glance.

The thing about getting into audio dramas that aren't popular (well, you know, popular by audio drama standards) is that you find some real gems...but you also find some clunkers.

Twice now, I've checked out something I thought was going to be right up my alleyway...and then it wasn't good. 😔

Finished Chapter 16 of "Tender Care"!

Just 10k left to write!

These days, that's a big bang, and I've done big bangs before.

The book club scam has taken an exciting new leap forward. I got one today from a "curated literary platform and newsletter" that, unusually, offered a link to its website. I'm in edits, so obviously I took the opportunity to procrastinate. /1
