Hennepin County and State Patrol officers can be seen in images from Whipple on Sat concealing their faces, which is against a MN law that also applies to cops.

In was 26 degrees on Sat. They cannot claim it was “protection from weather.”

ICE was busy this weekend. It’s not the time to let your guard down. There were multiple kidnappings in South Minneapolis yesterday, including in Powderhorn and Central. This morning, there was a kidnapping on East Lake Street. 1/

They’re trying to run the Kilmar Abrego Garcia playbook with a five year old boy in a bunny hat because nobody can find peace if they embarrass the Trump administration publicly. Normal people didn’t like it with Garcia and they really aren’t going to like it for Liam.

we don’t have national media that serves as anything but stenographers anymore and tom homan and trump are trying to exploit that. they know if they say they are trying to be less extreme or whatever they will get headlines about “softening” but this is the reality
I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

Gender-affirming care is evidence-based and life-saving. 1/

Axios had a story today about how hard Minnesota’s economy is being hit and how slow the recovery could be. So, I’m going to take this opportunity to say that if you want to support the Twin Cities, you should plan a visit for this summer, spend some money here, & see how amazing it is for yourself.

today’s mass media layoffs really go beyond “industry news.” we’re watching the removal of the people who explain what’s actually happening to us, beyond canned press releases and official narratives, at a time when we need that the most. healthy democracies need journalism!!

This means that people who are wrongfully detained by ICE can force ICE to pay for the legal fees it takes them to get out. Could have big implications in how this legal work is paid for.
3d Cir. holds that habeas corpus petitions challenging immigration detention are "civil actions," so prevailing noncitizens may be entitled to attorneys' fees and costs under the Equal Access to Justice Act.

Gonna be a loooooooooot of these.

There's a lot of capital allocation mistakes being made by these capitalists.
"It’s the single biggest capital allocation mistake in the history of the automotive industry"

Ford will take a $19.5 billion loss on its EV plants.
GM will take a $7.6 billion loss.
Others such as Honda & Volvo have all warned investors of similar losses.

Another Minnesotan saying: There is no pause! Because there isn’t one, believe no one who says otherwise.
Don’t believe anyone who says there has been a “pause”, a “drawdown”, a “change in tone”, a “shift in policy”. It’s all PR.

Since Alex Pretti was murdered, Bovino was fired, and Homan was installed, ICE/CBP presence in Minnesota has swelled from 3,000 to over 4,000 agents today. (2/7)
