Going into the weekend like:
I'd like to say that my entire fucking career, always as the lead breadwinner in my cis het breeder home, powerful men insist: Women don't belong in careers, as we are innately born dumb. Especially: Larry Summers, Harvard Pres and Epstein pedo enabler-bestie..

Why women are poor at science, by Harvard president
The president of Harvard University has provoked a furore by arguing that men outperform women in maths and sciences because of biological difference, and discrimination is no longer a career barrier ...

I mean why wouldn't you. Any entry level employee with free healthcare in Spain or Thailand or Brazil or anywhere is instantly wealthier and more secure than anyone here paying $16K a year for healthcare with a $6K deductible. we're all one bike crash away from financial ruination.
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
Record Numbers of Younger Women Want to Leave the U.S.
The percentage of younger women in the U.S. who express a desire to migrate permanently has surged in the past decade.

I also like this as the GIF for the 600 paramount employees who took the severance package instead of returning to the office full time for a company that's clearly decided to wind itself down

if you ever wondered if your name would appear in the story about your murder, or if society would see you as just a perk of your husband's great job
Sometimes I search Google News for murder-suicide, to see the endless sequence of American women in situations everyone thought were great till they were killed by their husbands...which is very much some child domestic violence survivor shit. anyway:

Former Latrobe CEO and wife died in alleged murder-suicide
The CEO of a company once based in Burrell Township has died along with his wife in their home in Winter Garden, Florida.

Here's the one thing that will save us. We get 10 lady celebrities in plunging minidresses to head over. "Sir, sir, Mr. Trump, we have it! It's called Trumpcare. You'd be a hero forever!" He signs it. Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders emerge from behind the curtains. Finally, we have Medicare for All.

I’m in NYC for a quick visit with teen daughter and friends, I left them in a fancy coffeeshop and am taking a few minutes on a park bench… I see a college age kid spy an obviously dying pigeon that has nested itself into some leaves to die… she sees me ignoring it and her and this tragic moment…

People will be mad at me for saying this, but I think we have to do it. Nothing is more important for the future of this country, and indeed humanity, than the app that makes you schizophrenic and helps you forget how to learn. The juice is worth the squeeze.

The utter stupidity of pursuing a criminal trial against someone for throwing a sandwich that bounced off a bullet proof vest pissing away hundreds of thousands of dollars for this joke is the perfect encapsulation of this Administration.

people like me for my light and buoyant style, but what they don't know is that today I'm back here with a clod for a brain, trying to bash something that feels like mud and garbage into a string of soap bubbles.

This is true. It’s like having an Oliver Twist or a Confederacy of Dunces party. Just because events happen in merry spaces doesn’t make them merry events.
Every time someone has a Gatsby party it’s like announcing they don’t read

Apple trees don’t grow true from seed, that’s why every Gala is a clone of a Gala, every Honeycrisp a clone of a honeycrisp, etc. I assume this hearty wild apple growing on the bike trail near brownie lake is a spontaneous miracle, nice bitterness and tastes like a chestnut crabapple.

Good heavens. Elle Decor, “languish” doesn’t mean what you think it does. “An oversize tub perfect for languishing” !! Though I suppose if I wanted to grow weak and fade away, that bathtub would do.
