It's very much a work in progress still, but the new title scene for our upcoming game Southwoods is coming along pretty well I think. The music is a temporary choice from our in-game background tracks, but I kinda think it suits, don't you?

I think one thing a lot of people overlook, especially thoughtful people, is you really need a home in your society for kind of dumb, credulous people who are a little hateful. If you don't give them a place they'll make their own horrible little place.

Given the UK cites a lack of evidence for giving injections I for one welcome such studies even if they are frustratingly slow to cotton on to the bleeding obvious
Can we stop acting like every bit of research about trans people is entirely new?
The study they are referencing suggests that injections are more effective and that Spiro sucks... which like... thats been known for a long time

the thing is: even if you imagine a world where this kind of thing would be good or cool or helpful, fighting to make that world exist and still extolling the benefits of the thing that's immiserating people makes you look kinda like an asshole and alienates people you need to achieve that world
full skepticism and abolition of AI as currently envisioned is the only rational response, if there is a "use" for AI beyond making billionaires richer and destroying society, then I'll accept some compromises

agree with this (hah) but also think a particular mistake the left made for a long time online, and still makes to an extent, is failing to understand that the person whose mind you may actually change is the one reading the argument you're having, not the one you're arguing with
The secret to engaging in social media debate is knowing you will never win anyone over. The best you can hope for is to have people who already agree with tell you you're awesome. You might great a dopamine thrill from the righteousness of your anger! Fine benefits, all. But you will never win.

AI coding claims are conveniently nondisprovable. What studies there are show it not helping coding at all, or making it worse.
