That orange bastard is still ordering the military to murder random fishermen in the Caribbean Sea, and the military is still doing it.

So much for refusing to obey illegal orders.

The Trump regime’s murders in the Caribbean and the Pacific are a test to see how much murder they can get away with, before they bring it back home.

The middle class has felt it is being uniquely squeezed for as long as there has been a middle class. It’s been a recurring theme in media for at least a hundred years. We need a Paul Fairie thread on it
But we didn't have economic stagnation for the working class. We had a period of unusually *high* wage growth for low income workers.

I'd smack it up, flip it, and reverse it:

Immigrants are good and here for good. DHS has to go

Greg's work on this is so important and clarifying.
In a nutshell, the Dem lodestar should be: "ICE is bad, and immigration is good"
My theory of the moment: The extraordinary courage of ordinary people in places like Minneapolis is reawakening us to our social and economic ties to immigrants. It's making "love thy neighbor" cool again. That's the ultimate antidote to MAGA hate.

Thoughts on this:

Hegseth (boorishly): Russia's cool. NATO sucks. Your security problem, Europe, is you're too brown and gay.

Vance (condescendingly): Russia's cool. Your security problem is you're too brown and Muslim.

Rubio (politely): Who cares about Russia. Your problem is you're not white or Christian enough.

The Humanities continue to be vastly underfunded. And look at the world we live in now that has disproportionally decided that STEM is the end all be all of the education system. Science and engineering are important, but so is teaching people how to think critically about how the world works.

I think she'd have a great chance at an open Senate seat but I've always thought that asking her to primary an incumbent is an insanely risky career move for someone who will eventually become one of the most powerful House members in the country by just waiting around and doing nothing.

AOC running for President is a better choice for her than Senate because you can run for President and keep your House seat if it doesn't work out.

ICE/CBP have gone unfunded for 3 days; how about 3 years? The best way to claw back the $170 billion immigration enforcement surge in the Big Beautiful Bill is to just claw it back. The 2nd-best way is to slowly drain it by never funding the underlying appropriation. @ryanlcooper.com makes the case:

So who was behind Epstein and what are their goals?

Between this and the campaigns of Russian state bot networks, along with Chinese attacks, are we going to find out that this was a 15 year loosely coupled attack on the U.S. all along? FAR more damaging than 9/11 and maybe even a limited nuke war?
