Today is the one of the sacred days where my work is closed, but daycare is open. We usually celebrate by going to the movies.
Wake Up Dead Man was a real delight! Each of the Benoit Blanc movies has been a real stylistic departure from the others, but I love seeing the elements that stay the same.

A good litmus test is “would the plot or themes of this movie change if, instead of Christmas, it took place on Halloween?”
Some lines and set dressing in Die Hard might change, but the overall plot and themes wouldn’t. Home Alone would hit much different.
