As this poster points out, Grok does not have agency. Grok is a computer program, like Photoshop. Grok is not doing these things. Twitter users are.

Grok is not undressing women, men commit sexual violence on the internet for fuck's sake.

The phrase "Grok is undressing women" is incorrect. It's mostly men using Grok to undress women. And it's also manmade that Grok obeys to these prompts.

It's good to use the resources at hand to fight because sometimes you win. Also, I keep thinking of the period after this man was killed and how a group of people tried to impose a new social reality. It didn't work. This too is a lesson.

one takeaway from the grok noncon porn thing is that much of the media just isn't interested in an issue they can't pretend has two sides or that doesn't give them an opportunity to shit on the left. Also it would be uncomfortable to justify remaining on twitter after acknowledging it

Hello! I would love to speak to women who are fans of Heated Rivalry, including those who are new to MM romance and those who aren't, for an article I'm working on exploring the genre's appeal to women.

My DMs are open or I'm at juliacarriewong.11 on Signal and julia.wong@theguardian.com on email

Yep, I've got a History degree and the lessons from it are far less predictive of what will happen in contemporary society than Gender Studies and Critical Race Theory, which are like that sports almanac in Back to the Future II.
kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life

Okay, Blue Prince has me completely enthralled. I've on day 40-something and I feel like I've only scratched the surface of everything there is to find! I've staunchly avoided looking anything up and I feel like a genius every time I solve a new puzzle 😅 I'm eager to uncover the whole story!

I think the "no self-promotion" rule in hobbyist groups is one of the most difficult to enforce. I understand the need for it - without it, groups meant for sharing get inundated with ads. But then it's like, well, is sharing *anything* a form of self-promo?

Textured pieces ready to be dropped off at the pottery studio 🫡

I'm feeling a bit lonely in clay these days. Not being in a class or having much studio time is isolating me. I'd like to find more potters for community, especially on Instagram. Drop your handle here so I can see your cool stuff? 🙏🏼

I have a new paper w Andrea Prat & Jake Spitz. We show that Republican appointed Supreme Court Justices vote in favor of the richer party by over 70% today, as compared to D’s at 30%. In the 1950s and both were at 50%. This strong trend may contribute to rising inequality. www.nber.org/papers/w34643

If what comes next is just a return to the deeply insufficient status-quo ante that gave rise to Trumpism in the first place, now additionally burdened with the devastations of Trumpism in power and discredited even further by American elites acquiescing and appeasing, it won’t last.
