This is pretty appalling.
Our first job as journalists is to get the facts right, something the Pulitzer Prize-winning Mississippi Today failed to do when "reporting" brochures were removed from the Medgar & Myrlie Evers Home National Monument that called his murderer a “racist.”

That myth soon spread.

Bizarre editorial. It says bringing back prohibition would be a disaster, but the federal government should tax weed and regulate its potency. Fair enough, but that requires federal legalization. You can't tax something if it's illegal to sell it.

(Not true. Kid Rock has never won a Grammy).

My first grader (a US citizen) came home from school crying because a friend from class (also a US citizen) hasn’t been coming to school because his parents (one of whom is not a citizen) are afraid of ICE.

Little kids don’t have concepts of racism and xenophobia. That has to be taught. Or imposed.
Gonzales on Liam Ramos and his family: "They're not gonna qualify for asylum. So what do you do with all the people that go through the process and do not qualify for asylum? You deport them. I understand that 5-year-old and it breaks my heart. I also think, what about that 5-year-old US citizen?"

I wrote for @msnownews.bsky.social when TrumpRx was first announced, and expressed a lot of skepticism about its value. I have not changed my mind as more info has come to light. Most still can’t afford TrumpRx prices and have better alternatives available already. www.ms.now/opinion/msnb...

Another example of why Democrats need to compete everywhere. And make Republicans spend money everywhere.
Late result for anyone still awake: Na’Cole Thompson, the Democratic candidate in the mayoral race today in Leander, Texas, has won the election.

She got 57% and won’t need a runoff, with two Republicans adding up to 43%.

WaPo editorial board when TX imposes a legislative gerrymander: don't freak out guys! Not a threat to democracy!

When VA responds to TX with *referendum* on their own gerrymander: brass-knuckled hypocrisy, anti-democratic gamesmanship.

There is hypocrisy here, all right, but not from VA.
