My view from working on autocracy is that Dems were winning on the biggest fight- making autocratization unpopular and now they're giving that up.

I’m not sure the benefits outweigh the costs, but this is a reasonable case that there are benefits to ending the shutdown.

I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.

Democrats just swept the off-year elections -- and not just in blue states -- a resounding rejection of Republicans' authoritarian bullshit. It is an insult to Democratic voters, marketplace enrollees, and everyone who turned out on Tuesday for Schumer and Jeffries to cave.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
