The singular reason we are going to call it a constitutional crisis until the coup his complete is that Americans have become so fear-ridden they cannot conceive of losing a life’s worth of material gains.
Year ago I was prancercizing in Biltmore forest in Asheville to fend off a sense of dread of the year we just got through. At least now we know what we are facing and that we will need to fight it together. Maybe this summer we can do prancercizing in the parks for revolutionary joy and solidarity.

My main take so far is it could great potential. But the people who control it are only concerned with the power & money they can make. Its main contributions so far has been what kind of stupid stuff can I get it to do & how can I use it to spy on people.
Determined to become more AI literate this year. Don't like the amount of smart and creative minds that are just shutting down on the subject because of scoundrels who have made AI conjure up the worst of the chatbot crimes. It's giving unilateral disarmament vibes and I think understanding is key.
In 2024, I was a co-author on "Shaping AI's Impact on Billions of Lives", covering areas we thought AI would have significant impact on the world.

This was to confirm the guy who ran the White House Medical Unit as a pill mill, and was also fired in a big scandal for mismanaging CIA's medical services, to run the entire military healthcare system. Not "he's qualified, fine." A nominee the Senate would have obviously shot down in normal times.
