have i ever said how much i love Waffle House?
Johnny ***** 10 months ago I been driving trucks for almost 30 years. I drive at night, I work on holidays. That's the way it's always been and I like it. On christmas eve I pulled in around midnight. Waffle house has always been a staple for me and I have witnessed many things over the years in their establishment but the food is always consistent and i leave feeling taken care of. This night I was enjoying my usual ham and cheese omelet and this man walked in and yelled something at the cook, I guess they knew each other or had had an engagement earlier in the night because he immediately responded and said "get the f*ck out of here Larry!" Larry threw something at the cook. Looked like a rock. The cook abandoned his hash browns, jumped the counter and drop kicked the man into my table. Food went everywhere. The man went down so fast. Someone must have called the cops and they came and got the guy pretty quick. The cook got me an entirely new meal and said it was on the house. and said "Ain't nobody f*ck around in my house, especially on Christmas... unless you wanna get parumpma-pump-pummed." I don't usually review things. Just needed to tell the story.

On the final day of this year, I have a bonus post for my lovely #UglyDogs - we went to a light display at the zoo on Boxing Day. There were so many lovely animals, but this was what I thought everyone might enjoy the most.

Skill issue of the highest order. My skyline has people talking about sports constantly, every sport you can imagine. I got multiple darts people. I got a fuckin dog sledding person, and not just for the Iditarod. Skill issue.
Bluesky has two major problems for me personally, one that is fixable and one that is not (the former: sports are a dead zone here, aside from baseball; the latter: so many scolds, it is what it is) but at least it's not a Nazi gooner morass with an Al bot that is undressing random women. When this does break containment, the official press will have breathless stories about how the White House "managed to hide this". Even as it's widely discussed among Bsky users all the time.

And I'll be livid (I am already furious & frustrated).
