Discovered my Republican rep likely lives in my neighborhood & likes to run with his dog unleashed & let it poop in people's yards. Now I have a new thing to yell at him about.
I've been making a conscious effort to see more movies this year, but most of those have been on my TV through one of the million streaming apps. But today I went to the theater to see Good Fortune. Overall, the film was pretty good. One thing surprised me, though.

Extremely fucked up at this moment in time to destroy the political reporting at the only legacy media entity still dedicated to young people (and, in turn, destroy the entity itself).
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

I truly think Halloween is the most magical night of the year. As we drove to a party last night, we saw so many kids & families out, neighbors who had turned their houses into attractions for all to enter, folks drinking cider around fire pits in their front yards, inviting strangers to join.

I’m pleased to announce that following our reporting, multiple people have reported that a formal inquiry is being made into SEGM’s accreditation, and that the CME courses are at least temporarily pulled down.

The panel is filled with the most vitriolic of anti-trans activists.

One of the things that's bugging me the most about the discourse about that man in Maine is that Janet Mills has also entered the race. The Janet Mills who is the current governor of Maine. Finally had a chance to read this excellent reporting by @inlander.com on HALO laws, a MT man who was arrested & is currently on trial for filming a police stop, & the Spokane 9--incl. context that was new to me regarding the obscure law they supposedly broke.
Update on this: the law says that starting January 2026, T can be given for up to 6 months at a time. Until then, only 3 months of doses can be doled out in one go. So fingers crossed we don't lose access to gender affirming care before January (or ever, but you know what I mean).
This is really great & I'm glad my state did this, especially for my trans sisters. BUT, & this is an important but, this doesn't apply to testosterone bc it is a strictly controlled substance. The most you can get of T is 12 weeks. The law is still great! Just want my transmasc siblings to know.
