With more businesses opening than closing downtown this is not true.
He claims there's actually an almost 50% vacancy rate. "If we really had the courage of convictions we could just eminent domain all the surface parking lots," he said. Instead, they're just going to cause a slow bleed that forces parking lot owners to sell to someone else who also won't develop

If you read/listen to any local news this week, please let it be this! I’ve been working on it for weeks and it’s some of the most insane shit I’ve ever written
From prison, convicted rapist Arlin Jordin has easily evicted tenants for decades. With Washington’s right-to-counsel laws, that’s all changing. This month, it all came to a head with Spokane's first right-to-counsel jury trial for an eviction:

“Rolling jails.”

“They tint the windows to hide empty buses.”

“One word: Uber.”

I ❤️ Spokane Transit and so should you. #weekwithoutdriving

I haven't seen this level of excitement for transit in Spokane in a while. STA's double-deckers are going to prove incredibly popular.
An inside look into STA's new double-decker buses as drivers prep for roll out
No, you aren’t seeing double – or maybe you are, if you’re looking at one of Spokane Transit Authority’s new double-decker buses cruising down the interstate.

“As elected officials, we must welcome accountability. We must not be defensive. We must listen first. Always.”

Proud to join a strong coalition in support of community demands protecting immigrants following the June 11th protests.

The truth: The same “local officials and activists” who want to end “Housing First” always say they want us to look at Houston as a model to reduce homelessness…a city that used “Housing First.”

Last week I was able to tour the proposed tiny home site in District 2. As we continue to build a safe and affordable city, housing must be prioritized to stabilize our residents who are housing insecure or experiencing homelessness. Tiny homes can provide a more dignified and transitional option.

Please join me in welcoming Shelby Lambdin to Spokane City Council!

I believe that with her experience, insights and contributions, we can continue to uplift the voices of District 2 residents and she will serve this city well over the next few months.
