Exxon is dropping law firm Paul Weiss, whose chair just resigned after his ties to Epstein were exposed, from representing the company in at least four climate lawsuits.

The firm also cut a deal with the Trump administration last year: www.exxonknews.org/p/exxons-law...

@nytopinion.nytimes.com will print straight-up lies if it comes from the right
When I worked for Reason magazine during Trump's rise to power in 2016, I was explicitly forbidden by the editor in chief from writing about Trump's racism, or the violence and racism at his rallies.

It was a "sideshow," I was told.

weirdly popular with corporate police-state lobbyists in DC tho

even weirder: super popular with the members of Congress backed by corporate police-state lobbyists
Even among Trump's core constituencies, opposition to ICE is strong. Turns out that most people don't like living in a police state.

Tomorrow the Senate is expected to vote on a bill aimed at interfering in DC's local tax code.

This move would thrust DC into financial chaos, hurting families and helping an administration that we know thrives on confusion and fear.

The Lower 48 is now 2.9F above normal for the month-to-date. A departure of +2.9F would be the 12th warmest February on record if it ended today. 🔥

[Good lord, Shaheen also voted for SERGIO GOR and cast the deciding vote in support of Mike Waltz to be UN ambassador, and said Rubio refuses to speak with her]

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

Puerto Rico hasn't had reliable power in a decade.

The grid sends occasional surges through the wires that fry appliances.

Electricity rates are among the highest in the entire U.S.

Heat waves are getting intense in the summer, and outages mean A/C is no guarantee for an aging population.
