While SNAP is in limbo between politics and courts, grocery stores and apps have offers for both SNAP recipients and people who want to donate food (e.g. Instacart Community Carts).

Would’ve been great if these businesses had advocated against politicizing SNAP with the shutdown, but here we are.

I get these fact-checks re tylenol/Autism lawsuit but what is very much needed is messaging of "If you think your kids' autism diagnosis is that devastating, please seek help before your child feels the effect of your anti-autism views."

If you're going to volunteer at a food bank because of the current times, please consider wearing a mask when helping distributing food. Even if they're not wearing a mask themselves, poor people have enough to deal with right now, getting an infectious disease just adds to the burden.

I love this whole thread that looks at how things associated with femininity (like decorating the front porch) are important for relationship building which is vital for community organizing.
But nobody takes the Pinterest moms seriously when they're doing front porch decorations not recognizing that a decorated front porch is a welcome mat that invites local connections better than just about anything I've ever tried.

I’m on Day 4 of a migraine, but that’s nothing compared to what people are suffering from USAID cuts, unconstitutional deportations, illegal military actions, and the loss of healthcare access. Thanks to @meactnet.bsky.social for the perfect #MECFS protest shirt. #NoKings Douglasville, Georgia
