Lots of people have, it will create absolute chaos if it passes, especially because, while the ID to vote part isn’t effective until 2027, the ID and proof of citizenship to register is effective immediately upon passage. It’s absurd.

The current voter ID requirements in NC aren’t really relevant to the bill. While you presented your birth certificate to get your REAL ID in NC, my wife, when getting her first REAL ID, presented her green card.

Had to drop that on somebody who said trans rights had to wait until public opinion turns on the subject, strangely they did not have a retort to the idea that we should do things because they’re correct to do and that public opinion is downstream of the things people fight for, not the other way.
