There's something darkly funny about the fact, whether or not this claim is a result of cognitive decline or intentional obfuscating misinformation, it slots very cleanly into the paranoiac landscape where no one has any idea what's true save for the intuition that we're being constantly lied to.

I don't think it's wrong to not like Spinal Tap, but I am intensely curious about the subjective experience of someone who watches it and thinks the jokes are few and far between

The US has had the most combative, organized and social movement oriented working class in the West over the last fifteen years, there are whole national street mvmts people have completely forgotten about (OccupyICE, anybody?) and anyone who fails to name this assessing the political situation 🚮

The first thing ICE did when it was created was raiding meat processing plants in the Midwest and south to help quell labor disputes over safety violations and keep those who weren't detained from getting legal protections as many had kids who grew up locally and were citizens with political power.
