I wrote about the fact that CPD would regularly pick up Black youth and then drop them off in rival gang territory. People told me this was not true. Then the 2017 U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) report about CPD came out and corroborated that this was routine.

I am once again reminding you all that the UK government introduced an Online Safety Act that is effectively a porn ban on most adult porn websites, but is dithering over banning a website that is actually creating child porn.

Just spitballing here, but I think the founders probably wouldn't have approved of a President putting the entirety of a highly militarized federal government on a war footing against a state because he didn't like how they voted in the last election. But I'm sure John Roberts knows what he's doing.

I wrote book reviews for a while for the WSJ well over a decade ago, and Bari Weis was my editor. One of her special tricks was to try to insert a sharp rightward slant into my essays *after* it had been copy edited, as a way of slipping her viewpoint in at the last minute.

Agency termination is not all that unusual. Democrats can say that ICE is a lousy agency and that they want to do immigration enforcement through other or new agencies.
Abolishing ICE is the moderate position, or it’s our job to make it the moderate position.
Abolition was impossible before it was common sense.
Civil rights were impossible before they it became common sense.
