Jesus fucking Christ
I just want to point out that’s Doug Wilson speaking at the Pentagon. Doug Wilson wants: the 19th amendment repealed, non-Christian religions outlawed, the death penalty for homosexuality, women barred from working or holding office, blasphemy laws, and one party theocratic rule.

Our vacation is going by too fast. I have thoughts about my incredible experience at Mardi Gras yesterday that I’m sure I’ll write down when I get back. Heading to BR to see my Dad today. Leaving Saturday to head back. The longer we’re in Lake Charles the more we realize how much family needs us

Wanted to take my kids on a haunted tour of The Myrtle’s but at $25 a pop per person plus tax it looks like we’re gonna have to pass on that. We were also going to hike Port Hudson but it’s gonna be muddy as hell.

I literally saw a post two weeks back in which a guy with two jobs was flagellating himself because he was short on rent, lamenting that had he donated plasma more, maybe his rent would be on time. This system is deeply fucked. Earth is a pleasure cruise for 1000 people and we're all just the staff.
Is this the “golden age” economy we’ve heard so much about?

Thank you Rep Lieu. 🇺🇸🇺🇸💙💙
Rep. Ted Lieu publicly stated that the “Epstein files” contain “highly disturbing allegations” including allegations of Donald Trump “raping children” and “threatening to kill children.” He said this at a Capitol Hill press briefing on Feb. 3, 2026, urging the press to “go look” at the allegations.

I would point out once again that Friday night Krewe D'etat rolled floats with explicit and intentional homophobic, misogynistic, and anti-immigrant messages. None of their floats were stopped and no elected person has commented. Because that parade of blue bloods is too politically important

This is wheee the divide will be. Red states will keep cutting key programs while blue states continue to fund them. Brain drain or further brain drain depending on the state ensues.
Devastated to learn that Univ of Texas at Austin is closing the American Studies dept. The years I spent there earning my PhD were formative, making me the teacher, thinker, and writer I am today. I've passed on what I learned at UT to thousands of students over the past 20 years. Just awful.

I see several restaurants and a brewery throwing “Mardi Gras balls” in Kansas City and it looks like you could imagine. I’ve offered help & have been ignored. I understand wanting to celebrate but I don’t understand not wanting to do it right & as authentic as possible.

wealth concentration is already 200% as bad at is was in 2020. think about that
The pace at which US wealth concentration is rising is simply staggering

The concentration of AI wealth into the hands of a few tech barons + plutocratic capture ==> unchartered territory

Hearing from multiple people that the vibes are just off this Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Hotels aren’t full. Crowds are rowdier than normal.

Every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME, I come back to Louisiana I’m reminded why I want to move back and it’s because of our friends and family and culture. None which can be replicated anywhere.

For decades, Johnny's Restaurant was a New Orleans favorite. Today, its Rampart Street site is empty.

ICE using the same ruse that Ted Bundy used to kidnap people should tell you something.
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.
