I joined the Marines in 1984, took an oath that, tho it's been 40 years, I hold dear & still believe in: to defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Today the Marine Corps turned 250 - older than the country I took that oath to defend.

We cannot give up now.

2/2…loyalists..and the faction of the GOP…that’s using his power to push their agenda. Absolutely.

1/2 I get the impulse behind what you’re saying…Trump often looks confused…erratic…and detached. But focusing on his personal decline…misses the real danger. He doesn’t have to be sharp…to be dangerous.

The machinery around him…is what’s running the playbook: advisers, staff…

This is so true. Schumer's inability to keep Senate Dems together while Trump keeps Republicans in lockstep.

It's the Dems' greatest weakness, and without real party discipline, the future of Democrats may well be oblivion along with America’s democracy.

Do you truly think she’s going to say, “Yes. Sorry…it’s true”?

Just use your own senses and pay close attention. Your answer will come…sooner than you hoped.

1/6🧵MSNBC used to sit under the NBC News umbrella, which meant:
*editorial standards
*NBC legal review
*legacy-newsroom *resistance to political pressure

With MS NOW being spun into Versant, that institutional buffer shrinks.

< oversight = more vulnerability to political and corporate pressure..

it is funny to watch them bounce back and forth between 'WTF CHUCK' and 'Schumer is a tactical Genius' depending on who the hours host is

Larry O needs to go with chuck into the moderate dem trash hole

I’ll never forget the feeling of the hair on the back of my neck spiking up the first day I heard the commercial, “It’s only the name that’s changing. Nothing else.”

Yes…@msnbc.com I’m talking about you. We smell it…and it stinks….all to hell.

Reposting this but:

People forget Lawrence legit worked for Sen. Moynihan who had close, close ties w/ Schumer. Like, there’s a reason he tried defending Schumer & yapped about the “difficult position” he was in. As if he even tried to whip his own Senate whip.

I agree. He was noticeably off. I felt Rachel was herself for the most part, but definitely not him.

1/3 🧵When a network insists “nothing changes but the name”, it usually means everything is changing except what they’re willing to admit out loud.

Respectfully, Willie…you’re not describing “fog.” You’re describing wishful thinking. These 8 senators didn’t create some temporary illusion …they handed Trump real leverage. Hoping it magically won’t be catastrophic isn’t a strategy. Accountability is.

Sometimes the shift to bow to Trump is subtle…and sometimes…times…it’s such a clunky jolt…you could see it from Mars.

That’s not “fog of war.” That…is scripted intention. There is NEVER “fog of war,” with the media. NEVER.
