I don't care about Troy not liking the Bears, I think most of his analysis on Caleb was generally fine, if a bit nitpicky. But that's cool.

Genuinely, there's a lot of media from my childhood that I can "seek comfort" from but none of it actually is definitional to my life. I just sometimes watch a movie I loved as a kid or thumb through a book I used to like, this whole HP-as-Identity is kind of fascinating in how all-consuming it is.

The thing is there are plenty of Dem "Steven millers"(Dems with an actual ideology) the fucking problem is the leadership of the Dem party smother every single one of them in the cradle by attacking them, or ratfucking them. Until they fall in line, get primaried or generally lose hope and give up.
All of this "we need a Democrat/liberal X" type posting fundamentally boils down to "Democrats do not have beliefs, they do not have ambitions, they are not driven to ACCOMPLISH anything except a comfy sinecure and long weekends," that's it, that is the fundamental problem rather than specific guys
