There's been a lot of talk about Hawks' play with and without Trae Young.

Not enough focus on their play with and without Kristaps Porzingis.

Luke Kornet was a beloved role player in Boston, and he's doing the same in San Antonio. It wasn't always that way.

I spoke to Kornet about dark times early in his career, the process of reinventing himself, and how he found success by embracing joy:

Mitch Johnson says that there's no hard minutes limit on Victor Wembanyama in Atlanta, but the Spurs need to be mindful. Expects him to play a few more minutes tonight.

LaMelo Ball takeover in the last two-ish minutes to get the Hornets the win over the Hawks.

Hornets ran the same action for him every time - Stack out for Knueppel, followed by a ballscreen by Diabate to get him the space he needed to work with.

Find someone in your life that cheers for you as loudly as Eric Collins cheers for the Hornets

Beautiful ATO from Billy Donovan using the "screen below stay below" tactic to beat the Cavs coverage and create an easy dunk.

Watch Huerter - screening low, then sealing his man to create an easy path to the rim when the Cavs switch.

How did Anunoby make this shot??

Eight foot wingspan

Wemby torched the Knicks for 42 and 18 the last time he played them, with KAT as his primary defender.

Knicks are staying away from that tonight, putting Anunoby on him to start and having Mitchell Robinson guard him now.

What a pass from KAT

With 2025 wrapping up, @sportingnews.com has named its Male Athlete of the Year: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

How the star was made, using a unique training regimen including studying YouTube videos ranging from Michael Jordan to Al Jefferson (!):

Pels shot 24% from 3 and still beat the Bulls by double-digits. They're 2-0 against Chicago, 3-22 against the rest of the league

There are 10 teams with worse season records, but nobody has been worse than the Bulls over the past three weeks.

Loved seeing this from Vit Krejci.

Game on the line, Grimes is waving like a lunatic to try and target Krejci. Sixers get Krejci switched onto Paul George with nowhere to hide, clear out an entire side of the floor.

Krejci plays perfect D, Hawks get the win.

Bulls 7 game losing streak is the longest in the NBA. They've lost to:

-Pels (3-21)
-Hornets (7-17)
-Pacers 2x (5-18)
-Magic (14-10)
-Nets (6-17)
-Zombie Warriors (13-12)

Vooch called the team soft and not playing to NBA standards after their last win. Boy was he right.

This is the Giannis trade I'd like to see.

Bucks get:
-Four unprotected Spurs firsts
-Three pick swaps
-Castle, Vassell, Barnes

Spurs get:
-Antetoukoumnbros

New for @theathletic.com - caught up with Charlotte's hoop purist and ball-knower Kon Knueppel. Here's how he's much more than shooter.

Think Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel is just a shooter? Think again
The Duke product entered the league with a rep for shooting, but we've seen so much more through the first quarter of the season.

Nice adjustment here by Quin Snyder at the end of the first OT, playing around with the spacing to get Jalen Johnson more room to operate.

Spencer Jones is having a nice year for Denver, shooting 40 percent from 3 (low volume).

Can't unsee what @dnvr-nuggets.bsky.social pod said about his shooting form though (h/t: @nateduncannba.bsky.social). It looks like he's trying to add new letters to the alphabet when he takes a shot.
