Honored to join with @transpochoices.bsky.social, @moveredmond.org, Tacoma on the Go!, and so many other partners to urge Sound Transit to #BuildTheDamnTrains!

We're a region that's united behind delivering the transit system that voters were promised as quickly as possible.

I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

Another election update: progressive candidates Shilpa Prem and Jay Arnold have TAKEN THE LEAD in their races for the Kirkland City Council after previously being behind. So much for that reactionary anti-growth backlash in Kirkland.

Game 5 of the ALDS has entered the 9,748th inning, the Sounders are in round 3,250 of their shootout and Katie Wilson leads the vote count for mayor by 91 votes. Seattle just doesn’t like knowing results.

King County's second largest city is likely to have a more progressive city council beginning in 2026, which will shake up city politics. Notably, longtime Councilmember Conrad Lee, who donated $50,000 to Donald Trump's inauguration, is losing his reelection bid.

Another city where progressives did well tonight: Newcastle.
FINAL STEP COUNT: 475,499
Today’s the big day! Make sure to turn your ballot into a BALLOT BOX by 8pm tonight.

We’ve built what I believe to be the largest coalition of support ever for a Newcastle Council seat.

We’ve run a campaign that truly reflects how I’ve served:

Zohran's success will hinge equally on what he is ABLE to do and how effectively he messages to voters when the federal govt of wealthy interests / police, etc in NYC deliberately sabotage things.

we've seen this shit in oregon with elites lining up to torpedo progressive measures
The full weight of western capitalism is about to laser focus on NYC. The robber barons failed to win and will panic. They will sabotage NYC because the system cannot allow Mamdani's term to be successful. They cannot allow people to believe things can be better. Your job now is to hold the line.

In Bellevue, Conrad Lee, who has been in office since the mid-1990s, is set to be defeated by Naren Briar despite bringing out the big guns about how single family zoning is "under attack."

And more pro-housing Vishal Bhargava is also set to keep his seat.

🚨 BREAKING: A federal court just BLOCKED the Trump-Vance administration from cutting food assistance for 42 million people.

Hunger will not be used as a political weapon.

This is a major win for workers and families who rely on SNAP.

When we fight together, we win together.💜
🚨 The Trump-Vance administration is cutting off food assistance for 42 million people, even though funds are available. Ending SNAP isn’t fiscal policy; it’s cruelty. They’re using hunger as a political weapon and we’re suing to stop this unlawful and immoral act. seiu.co/49pAeQ4

Speaking of new stadiums, it’s probably not a good sign that fully one-third of your fans say they “stop attending games” if you move and and 25% more say they’d go less often.
