Takeaways from Our Candidate Forum and Progressive Victories in Bellevue Elections
With vote counting wrapping up in King County, we would like to congratulate all the winning candidates on their hard-fought races! Long-time incumbents Councilmember Jared Nieuwenhuis and Mayor Lynne Robinson each secured enough votes to serve their third and fourth terms, respectively. Appointed Councilmembers Claire Sumadiwirya and Vishal Bhargava went in front of the voters for the first time, and each earned a victory that will carry them through the end of their term in 2027.

Here are the proposed changes to ST Express routes planned for next fall after Federal Way and East Link are open.

Biggest changes: terminating the 574 at Fed Way, the 556 at Bellevue, the 522 at S Shoreline. Eliminating the 515, 550, 554, 580, 586. Increasing service on the 535, 513.

You (read: we, excitedly so) love to see it!
Sound Transit CEO Dow Constantine just told the board's rider experience committee that East Link has officially entered the system integration phase.

That means you'll see single trains with up to four cars operating across the I-90 bridge "intermittently."

As an annual event hosted in over 100 cities around the world, Park(ing) Day encourages our cities and their residents to re-imagine how we use our limited street space to be more accessible and inviting for the general public rather than just for private cars.

Big thanks to Urban Accessories, a local, family-owned foundry that’s been operating in Tacoma for over 50 years!

They're providing chairs, benches, and bike racks that you'll see at tomorrow's event, and they're sponsoring food for volunteers.

Thanks for making our event possible!

Art, Games, Community, and Joy at This Week's Park(ing) Day!

Bellevue's first-ever Park(ing) Day is just two days away - and we wanted to thank the many organizations and partners who have helped make this event possible.

Check out the full list here!
Art, Games, Community, and Joy at This Week’s Park(ing) Day
If you haven't heard the good news, Park(ing) Day is coming to Bellevue for the first time ever! This Friday from 12 - 5 pm, Complete Streets Bellevue is bringing the fun and tactical urbanism of Park(ing) Day to Downtown Bellevue, just south of Downtown Park at the corner of NE 1st St and 102nd Ave NE. Over the past several weeks, we've been working closely with City of Bellevue staff and community organizations to coordinate logistics and put together an amazing event, and we're so happy that the community will get to see the fruits of that labor this Friday.
