i am not particularly hostile to AI use, but having spent a large part of my day refuting an obvious chatGPT argument offered by someone who outranks me who *did not understand the argument chatGPT told them to make*, i have more reservations about it.

(This is the list, not sure why that didn’t come through.) The thing to keep in mind — Big Tech doesn’t define the internet. There is *still* a healthy, thriving independent internet of creators, just like there are stores beyond Walmart and restaurants beyond McDonald’s. Find them, support them.

We should use the Tea Party playbook. Take all this for now and then defund them when we have the levers. Hamstring DHS now and disband it later. Prosecution of their goons will gut them, that’s huge. But keep pressing for abolition.

Is it really so hard to celebrate small victories while continuing to press for more? Celebrating progress does not mean giving up or settling. I’m starting to feel sorry for these people. They are apparently determined to be unhappy until their world is perfect. Which means always.
