Good god. We've spent a decade with the British media - including the BBC - claiming that the 'gender critical' movement wanted to 'protect women and girls'.

And it turns out Jeffrey Epstein was funding part of it.
I'm not being facetious. Epstein was apparently giving talking points to the people pushing anti trans rhetoric in the UK.

in retrospect in the wake of the epstein files being released, no wonder ‘me too’ was met with such anger and ultimately those in power it meant to target never face many consequences

An extreme Kansas bill will invalidate the drivers license of every trans person in the state. It was passed alongside a particularly extreme bathroom bill, meaning that the implications of every trans Kansan losing legal ID overnight has largely been missed.
Kansas Bill Will Strip Driver’s Licenses from Every Trans Resident Who Changed Gender — Assigned
As Kansas passes a bathroom bill, another bill that will invalidate the driver’s license of every trans resident has been deemphasized in the coverage. Also, Trump’s Department of Education says San J...

It's pretty amazing to me the amount of shit that apparently you can Just Do as an NYC mayor. It makes basically every other American politician look like an incompetent loser.

What do you mean there was just a button that reversed wage theft? Why wasn't and isn't everyone hitting it all the time??

A key thing to remember when seeing that measles is in the concentration camps, is that covid killed more cops than any other cause.

Cops are superspreaders, a gestapo jumping around the country to terrorize one city after another, kidnapping people into concentration camps, is a perfect storm.

Acknowledging that the US prison system has been a slave labor colony for generations, that just a generation ago the US almost simultaneously opened an explicit concentration camp *and* said it'd militarily invade the Hague if persecuted for crimes against humanity, is vital.

For a generation, the US has had a very public, very high profile concentration camp *and* a law saying it'd invade the Hague if anyone ever tried to do something about it.

Biden voted for that law. Obama promised to close that concentration camp, and had a legislative window to do that.

People almost 25 years ago who said "Guantanamo being allowed to exist will inevitably lead to death camps in South America" were viewed as alarmists the entire time, especially during the 12 years of democrat presidencies.

By this point it feels strange to say things like this and not reflexively end with a "Furthermore he should be impeached and removed from office"
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

Adobe making a great example that using proprietary software anywhere in your development is a massive liability, even if you fork over buckets of money. Why should people invest time and money learning your software if you just do this with no recourse.

It's funny how if *you* tried selling your own stuff to yourself to get rich, people would laugh their asses off at you for being so foolish.

But when a billionaire does the exact same thing, somehow he actually does get richer.

When ICE goons scoop up victims in Minnesota (regardless of citizenship) they ship them as fast as possible to a detention center in El Paso, Texas

If released, they drop them outside the detention center in Texas. No support.

For my non-US friends: El Paso is over 2200 km from Minneapolis

YA fiction has had its time to shine, now is the time for 42 year old fiction, middle adult fiction, where all the plots and romance involve cheese and heartburn and back pain. The climax of each novel is finding a really nice sandwich, or finally figuring out where that thing went.

It's so grim that ICE are out murdering and kidnapping and the Trump admin is like "yes this is great we're gonna do more of this and livestream it, let's get some camera crews out to film this."

and Democrats are like "OK but we need more money for body cameras if we're gonna keep funding this"
