Nearly 20 years ago, UKBA border officers got given warrant cards. A warrant card is what entitles a police officer to carry out searches, seizures & arrests. Police have to train to get one. UKBA officers dont. I've seen the flash them in bars as ID.
We have ICE in the UK. They do everything ICE in America did up till a few months ago, and if you think what ICE is now doing in America can't happen here I have a bridge to sell you.

I’ve told this story before, but one of my turning points as a cis person, having originally followed glinner way back for his comedy credentials, was asking his followers for any actual evidence of a problem in public toilets - and I just got deluged with fetish porn.
