one reset I'd personally appreciate: behind the insistence that we must offer the electorate a little bigotry is the idea that commoners are more bigoted than the richer and more educated, who can be appealed to with high minded policy. but then you Ctrl+F "phrenology" in the Epstein files
What strikes me is that 'the volk' have incredibly incoherent and everywhere ideas, but the people who claim to speak for them in the press are like clerics who think there are two poles for all politics and everything must fit between them. These poles are like, eight inches apart

No trans person should have to grow up hating their voice, hating their face, hating their hair, hating their body, when that loathing can be PREVENTED by a simple, common, safe drug. Puberty blockers are safe, effective, and well-tested.

Trans kids DESERVE access to puberty blockers, as they wish.

It's incredible how it was revealed that the anti-trans push over the past decade was concocted in no small part by a literal PEDOPHILE CONSPIRACY and the reaction of transphobic lawmakers, journalists, academics has been a shrug and a "well, we gotta

Thing is, this is awful; but it's not *new*. Most women deal with this from school age.

Is it 'new' to middle class women with double barrelled surnames? Is this why some of them claim to feel 'threatened' by trans women?

Fuck knows. I just want to be able to walk a dog on my own without dealing with aggressive drunks (at 10am).
Last year, during one of my very brief forays into busy places, a man made a vomiting sound at me as he passed me in the street. It was an act of psychological violence directed at me because I'm a woman going about my business.
How do we fight back against this?

One of the reasons I emphasise religious extremity in the Starmer government is not because I dislike religion, or religious people.

It is because the dangerous, toxic side of dogmatic religion is the glorification of suffering.

And it seems to permeate this government.
