The Home Secretary explaining that the rise in racist violence is, actually, the natural response to higher levels of immigration is a state of affairs that can't exist without the government having largely decided that racist violence is, if not legitimate, at least understandable.

There are plenty of links between the anti-trans “women’s rights” movement & anti-feminist conservatism. And opposing abortion is a logical conclusion for a movement that says no, you should not have agency over your own body; no, you do not know best about yourself; no, you have no choice.
No way I’m sharing Stock’s UnHerd article. But I am going to point to this bit which amply demonstrates the anti-trans=>anti-women’s rights pipeline. “Abortions should only be done for a highly restricted set of reasons. They should not be just nodded through for any reason a pregnant woman likes.”

This is absolutely amazing. Please share with any parent of a trans kid who may benefit.
We are now accepting enquiries from parents of trans kids currently in Key Stages 3 and 4 for our trial half-term in 2026.

I hadn't quite appreciated that every senior researcher involved in the NHS puberty blocker trial has direct ties to SEGM, a designated hate group. We have an anti-Trans, USA hard right backed group pulling the strings behind the UK NHS puberty blocker trial. It is rotten to its core. Zero Trust.
The puberty blocker trial is about to start according to the BBC, led by Dr Emily Simonoff. The same Dr who spoke at a symposium organised by Segm, a group designated an anti trans hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Centre /1

Bullshit alert: some NZ politicians (dishonestly) claiming that the puberty blocker ban is about "saving" kids from "unnecessary" medical interventions and "letting them make up their own minds"

No, that's *what puberty blockers* do. It gives those kids time to work out their own identity.

Well that's incredibly disappointing and insulting.

I can assure @stellacreasy.bsky.social - I'd rather be in a cult than vote for a hard right, racist party whose extreme anti-trans policies are resulting in the deaths of children.
Here's @stellacreasy.bsky.social calling the Green Party a cult and affectation politics.

Suggests Labour is the only option for proper socialism.

I don't know if Labour MP Stella Creasy is fully versed in Labour policy, but it sure isn't socialist.

Sonia's "suddenly trans people are concerned about gnc cis women" line is so funny, it's not like anyone's been pointing it out since at least the NC bathroom bill way back in 2016. But, that would require actually listening to what we say and that is a complete anathema to gender critters
This is the harm the misogynistic EHRC is causing to ALL women. Their code of practice is deeply disparaging of ALL women.

Already seeing some terrible takes on here about supporting science re the puberty blocker trial.

Science that is unethical & designed terribly, influenced by those who don't want us to exist, is never ever going to lead to useful outcomes.

& this trial will cause immense harm to participants.

I’m told by younger Dublin friends, that if one of their number says something reactionary, they are immediately called ‘Enoch’. He’s Ireland’s most infamous anti-trans activist. His behaviour has associated the anti-trans stance with being ‘utterly intransigent’ & irrational.

Brain's skittering about a bit. But watching Wayward reminded me that a lot of quack treatments only exist because real medical treatment is often brutal and / or poorly administered.

A bit like Goop and fraudulent chronic pain 'treatments' - equal blame needs to be put on maternity units that are killing and traumatising women.

One of my favourite book series is about an asteroid hurtling toward Earth.

There's literally nothing to be done about it. It *will* land and it will wipe out most of humanity. People's responses throughout the trilogy are fascinating.
imho theres things to worry about and things that are so far above our pay scale they're not worth worrying about. There's buggerall anyone(or anything) in the history of our planet could do to stop it if it happens so theres no real point worrying about it till it happens.
not at all worrisome that at any moment a huge piece of space rock could enter our atmosphere and take out a city and there's not really anything we can do about it

And without the prescription of hormone therapy at the same
time, these children are going to be left in a hormone limbo for as much as 5 years. Blocking one hormone at the age of 11 but not replacing it with the required alternative until aged 16 is surely a recipe for disaster and will cause harm

I would add that I don’t think it’s too late to prescribe a GnRHa to a child who doesn’t present with gender incongruence until puberty’s already well under way…it has a role…I saw Alice’s mood deteriorate as her masculinisation progressed in her late teens…it’s just the study is designed to fail.

By which time the prescription of puberty blockers will be too late, irreversible changes of puberty will have occurred, dysphoria will persist and the treatment will be deemed ineffective.

Hardly surprising when the doctor in charge has ties to SEGM.

This is not a clinical trial. It’s cruelty.

The trail will involve 220 children.

Meanwhile 3000 another children seeking health care for their gender dysphoria will be placed on an ‘observational’ study.

The old ‘watch and wait’ is how Alice was treated. Although this time there might be someone actually watching, this is not health care.🧵
Puberty Blocker clinical trials to begin
on the NHS

- The trial will involve around 220 children under 16
- Young people will “undergo intensive medical and psychological screening”, including Gillick competency evaluation
- Trial: Group 1 will get PBs straight away vs Group 2, 12 months later
New puberty blockers clinical trial to begin after UK ban - BBC News
Those taking part in the study will be children under 16 who are going through puberty.

It took a two year campaign of digital deep mining, bullshit and screeching to convince the public Old Jezza had a racism issue. This government is straight out wearing black in front of a billowing sixty-foot Union flag like Norsefire, promising to fuck up the migrants. These things are different.

In case you're unaware, Lynn Jones was an MP and the chair of the Parliamentary forum that paved the way for the Gender Recognition Act.
She speaks with authority on what MPs intended the acts to mean.
The Supreme Court had no business in deciding to reinterpret the clear will of Parliament.
This was my understanding when I voted for the Gender Recognition Act and the Equality Act - otherwise I could not have supported them.

I think @entirelyharmless.bsky.social summed up Sex Matters pretty well with this:

"UK media: every time you quote Sex Matters on anything related to trans people, it’s the equivalent of quoting the Flat Earth Society on anything related to space or air travel.

They’re unqualified cranks."
