Trans rights are human rights. Woman's rights are human rights. Human rights for all or they will be for none. Reparations are owed.

frankly, speaking as a cishet white man who can trace their ancestry back to the 1600s-

you should be fucking embarrassed if you aren't advocating for what was promised in the Declaration - that all are created equal, and granted unalienable Rights; Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

One thing I will say is that this continues the Trump Administration theme of not taking any overseas action that needs more than 24 hours of consideration. They push for the "yes" & they make sure it's not something that can be interrupted by a last-minute "no" once he's slept on it
The question was never Maduro. The question was always what comes after Maduro. I don't have any answers yet, how could I?

what orders "the US military" will or won't follow is situational dependent and never a blanket answer

But JSOC (specifically DEVGRU, a certain TF at Bragg, and associated hangers-on) will *absolutely* follow orders to detain/otherwise do something to Dem pols, with the right made up predicate
The president's unaccountable assassination squad is now also an unaccountable kidnapping squad and dems can either plan to take action accordingly or be replaced by those who will

and this time they are more bloodthirsty, more incompetent, and less interested in even pretending to justify it

more than twenty years later and somehow we went backwards

Well this is the most JSOC thing to have JSOC'd in a while

Add to the list of why the next Dem SECDEF's core qualification must be a commitment to rip out JSOC root and branch

Anyone else remember what those dipshits were up to 6 years ago today?

I think people did not want to believe the obvious truth: that January 6th was an attempted coup that was abetted by the highest levels of the Republican Party.

It would’ve meant arresting, trying, and possibly imprisoning many of America’s most powerful politicians.
I think people weren’t really ready to come to terms with what it meant. A lot of the policy response after (e.g., suggestions to add a domestic terrorism statute) missed the forest for the trees. These weren’t rogue extremists — it was key members of one of two major political parties here.
