Actually, this is a huge theme in my History of Alternative Medicine class. When people feel ignored or exploited by mainstream medicine, they seek out alternative providers. In turn, many of those providers see 💰 in an untapped market. Especially if what they are providing isn't regulated.
Yeah, like I'm super happy that menopause is getting more attention. It's been so neglected and understudied for far too long. But, yeah, because of that, totally ripe for weird and exploitative ventures.
