It gets very hard to talk about someone like Steven Pinker and how wrong his ideas are without talking about how bad of a person he is. Normally if those things get muddled in a debate it's considered poor form, but he just has bad sociopolitical views that cause his bad conjectures

AI will be transformational in the way that fire transforms a house or cancer transforms a cell. Changed, sure, but leaves out the "make a better world" part of changing it.
