So here's a tip: turn off all notifications for social media. I'm not kidding. Stop the cycle where it starts. Only go onto Bluesky and Discord or whatever when you want to. Don't let the app tell you when to look at it. You're the boss of it, not the other way round

As someone who hates insincere small talk, flatterers, employees pretending to care how you're doing, etc, I'm occasionally reminded how many people apparently enjoy having their whole day filled with insincere ass-kissing and it makes me feel a little gross

If these people are ever thrown out of power, I hope we all understand there is no reformist pathway for institutions like this as much as Dems might desperately wish and claim there is.
