Donald Duck is a man who is depicted as a duck. Daffy Duck is a duck who walks and talks like a man. I hope this clears things up.

there was an amazing article about exactly this somewhere

in the old days where everyone was paid well and was unionized, this chart was reversed, living expenses were cheap but luxuries like TVs and whatnot were what you had to save up for. You could live a comfortable life if you were frugal
Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

So, it's been years since I've used an Adobe product to open a PDF, I just typically view it in my browser. But I am working on a computer with Adobe Suite rn and holy cow was I not prepared for how bad Adobe Acrobat is at viewing the file type Adobe invented.

The prologue of GoldenEye being set in 1986 with Pierce Brosnan as Bond means it takes place in that brief period of 1986 when Brosnan was awarded the part before Remington Steele was renewed and he had to back out, leading to Timothy Dalton becoming Bond.
In this insane diatribe, I will...

This moral radicalization happened at all levels in the Union army, very much including Ulysses S. Grant.

A lot of Northerners needed to SEE it to become true believers in the cause. But they did. It’s all there if you listen to the lyrics to The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

I literally thought this was an Onion article at first. I didn't think Trump could still shock me.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

There is a panic in my heart that wants to scream, "Please don't hate me!" and I have no idea what's causing it other than a vague fear I'm not going to get all my work done on time.

It makes total sense to me that Trump would love Phantom of the Opera - they were both a big deal in New York in 1988.

this goes right along with my theory that the AI obsession in *users* is often bc…

1. they were never educated (esp "ipad generation") & don't know how computers work

2. our tools and services are all SO AWFUL NOW, degraded at best, actively user-hostile at worst

All the Epstein emails are powerful elites saying shit like “Hello my friend the pedophile, i need your advice as a pedophile, what do you think about this other pedophile? Pedophilic Regards, your Friend ;)” and instead of swinging from a gibbet most of them are still writing op-eds against leftism

NYT: but her emails
Landon Thomas Jr of the New York Times got told by Jeffrey Epstein that Trump walked into a glass door bc he was so busy staring at girls in Epstein's house and didn't print it. wild that the Times didn't consider that newsworthy.

Glad this story is finally public but also incredible that it is taking media so long to dig up what is essentially open knowledge in these communities rn.

thinking about it now: i've said it before but the argument gets more reasonable by the day that joe biden should be (and will be) historically viewed similarly to buchanan for his complete inability to respond appropriately to trump during his term. he had one job and he fucked it up.

The Epstein emails definitely are incriminating for Donald Trump and other high-profile figures, but they are arguably more incriminating for the multiple journalists at national publications who didn't just not print important news but also directly ask the people involved what they wanted

I get lonely easily. I used to be able to call friends and chat, catch up, even if we couldn't hang out we could have a phone call.
Then everyone stopped answering their phones. So I switched to texts, and I'd connect with friends that way.
Now no one even texts back anymore.
Is this just being 35?
