American partisans heard 'you have to be perfect every day, we only have to be perfect once' wrongly assuming the 'you' was referring to themselves. I think any potential mass social movement can't take one or two minor fuckups before the larger mass thinks the movie is going wrong and fin.
I've never heard anyone directly say how many 'fuckups by idiots' they can tolerate on their way towards better, but if it's none, we should say none, and if its 1, we should say 1.

what impressed me most today was that a huge crowd of people who mostly had never been tear gassed managed to retreat without running or trampling each other. under a cloud of gas that was not moving (zero wind), people held onto each other and walked blind down a street packed tight as sardines
Just got gassed pretty good at the labor union anti-ICE protest in Portland. Massive march, 5-10k strong. Vibes were very much liberal rather than radical. Lots of kids and older folks.
They gassed the whole crowd as soon as it marched on ICE, in broad daylight.

So being a bit of a strong willed person who rejected wisdoms on sayso, I had to make my own code, and part of that code is 'dont do things or think like guests on Maury' so imagine my sense of validation reading about Bill Gates acting like a guest on Maury vis a vis STDs and antibiotics.

Somebody sent me footage of the feds shooting out a local residents window. This was right after the first barrage of teargas was deployed. They told me “this was a deliberate attack and we were nowhere near the entrance (of the ICE facility).”

They just heavily gassed. Went thru my full face again. the medics were saying it was going through their masks too. There were very young children present. This is the road nearby ten minutes after the gassing started. The gas is still visible as I type this.
