It feels cliche, but teaching people how to teach themselves is the fundamental of education. And this is more about method than subject because the methods should uncork the ability to feed any curiosity without it going haywire into esoterica.

I am by no means a prominent public intellectual, but my inbox is increasingly filled with messages from people who have been convinced by sycophantic chatbots that they have discovered revolutionary theories that entirely upend our scientific understanding of the universe.

I'm not gonna read a whole thing at work, but I will venture that a predominant problem with any kind of 'working class' play is that it's volkist horseshit that rides around on a completely aesthetic stallion because the 'salt of the earth' literally can not and won't access electoral politics play

"We should use relative comparisons of suffering to feel better about our own" is one of those stultifying things where I can't stop imagining someone being pleased with themselves when they see someone else suffer because it isn't them, and they think this levity is part of decency.

I wish there was a way to emphasize that the problem is intractable so long as the party itself can not formulate alternative means to politicking that is usually consigned to outsider political ideologies, and also spike political ideologies with loftier goals than 'fair media umpire'

It's actually super grating that the most they can imagine is sending a stern electoral message in the pursuit of some kind of restoration to the halcyon days of 2015.
