one of the funniest things in ffxiv twitter is someone will post chat logs of some insane person and then you check the replies and you'll see like "ah yeah I raided with them a few patches ago, they're a flat earther that eats nothing but frozen corn dogs"

"KH1 makes your party composition a meaningful choice" is also like a technically true statement but also I feel like you're just gonna default to donald and goofy the vast majority of the time so that you can access the trinity symbols when you come across them

Yeah I guess I'm still coming from a time where you'd see a commercial on TV, or an ad Ina magazine, or just word of mouth

I thought about writing a proper thing of why I think m8s is bad, but instead I grabbed a fight timeline and inserted like little comments beside the mechanics, and I think this adequately explains what I think of the fight

it'll be so fascinating when we actually see elder scrolls 6
you'll see a town like "ah that's from when it was a PS4 game" and "oh maybe this is a PS6, or late PS5 addition"

I do think you really have to avoid getting caught up in technical depth = fun, because even KH2 on level one, you can absolutely unga bunga your way through the game if you're good enough at dodging

I watched this video last night comparing KH1, 2, and 3's combat systems, different pros and cons of each, and how they lend or don't lend themselves to level 1 runs
and its like a pretty balanced, reasonable video but the comments are like "yeah this is why KH3 is bad"

honestly the real issue with m8s is that after millennial decay you don't see another real mechanic until terrestrial rage
which is almost 4 minutes later

I do kinda feel like I should've picked staff rather than shield for proud mode, I feel like stuff like ripple drive and hurricane blast are just really good and I find myself just kinda wanting for damage
