This is beautiful. The smiles! Bondi beach hero Ahmed Al-Ahmed with the doctors looking after him at the hospital in Sydney.

And…

The doctors are *also* Syrian!

Tamer Al-Kahil from Homs.
Anas Natfaji from Aleppo.

*Three* heroes.

2050 two possible futures:

1. The walls of Harvard University have monuments highlighting these kids & the ceasefire campaigners as exemplars of excellence.

2. Palantir University Ltd (formerly Harvard) has a system that can overhear anyone who refers to these banned memories.

Don't mistake incompetence for accident. The degradation of your social media feed, the collapse of your news, the defunding of your school—it is all functional.

There’s a specific mechanism in authoritarian movements that we’re seeing play out in real-time across American media and tech. It’s a simple rule: "If we cannot co-opt it, we must destroy it."

It is the logic of "scorched earth." It's the logic of the Nero Decree and it's happening right now. 🧵
