end of the day I do think both coms are good games, but like gba com is more of a curiosity and re:com is like probably the best playing KH spin-off

Also I feel like its way too easy to cheese gba com and re:com kinda balanced things a little to make some of the busted shit a little less busted
although the kinda took a shotgun to ragnarok's knees which is unfortunate since gba com is like the only game its good in

KH1 and 2 are so immensely fascinating to me because of how it evolved
They started with wanting to make like a platformer with some basic action combat
and rather than stick with their original idea, they saw the potential in what they almost attained and leaned into it

the thing about KH1 is it didn't even realize it was an action game, like it's full of bad big monster bosses, because they were under the impression they were making an action adventure game

I think its funny that KH2 has like the opposite structure of KH1 for its final boss sequence

Even FF7 Rebirth, massive as it is, doesn't really feel all that bloated to me cuz I do think its pretty careful with its enemy encounters

midgar in general one of the most foindly remembered things about FF7 and doesn't have that much combat
It is interesting how one of the things people remember the most of ff7 original, was wall market, where there is no combat.
