Writer. Unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed.
"how do you bring back Bond after he died?" a guy shows up in a suit and says his name is Bond, James Bond and you never address the previous movie. it's not that hard.

Mamdani is good at what he does but he is less remarkable than the scene that nurtured him and supported him. Where would he be if he didn't have great video people, graphic designers, canvassers, press people, etc. All built up over a decade of DSA running candidates in NY & usually failing.
The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

There is absolutely no excuse for a country this wealthy to not provide its citizens with adequate health care. This is the issue that radicalized me years ago, and still my number one priority. Anyway, no money to Senate Democrats until they kick Schumer to the curb. (No, not even him. Or her.)

And that argument would be at all persuasive if you didn't just win a landslide election, if Trump's failures were finally breaking through mainstream media coverage, if Republicans weren't being torn about by their own antisemitism. You knocked down your opponent and immediately conceded!

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

this is "Jo March was paid $100 for her story in the 1880s" but for cheating
That Ortiz and Clase reportedly received the EXACT same dollar amount from fixers — in 2025! — as Shoeless Joe Jackson and Lefty Williams did in 1919 is … completely absurd. And another reason why player salaries have very little to do with why these gambling scandals happen.

once when I was at a CVS, police removed a very drunk man from the store, but left his handle of vodka behind. after the commotion died down, an elderly woman behind me left the line, filled her empty Starbucks cup to the top with booze, put the bottle back by the bathroom, and walked out the door.
Got back to my hotel. Group got on elevator same time. Man (probably mid 40’s) sees a drink on the floor of elevator. Says it looks “brand new. Ice isn’t even melted.”
Him and his girl both start drinking it. “It’s great. Rum and Coke!”
THE FLOOR DRINK!

I think what really needs to happen re: The Game Awards is we all need to boycott it. it goes beyond Future Class; the game awards exist to push marketing at people. it's not a real award show and it's not produced by people who care about gamedevs at all. we're just props.

Also can video game journalists, please, please stop framing QA as a 'gateway' into the industry or a way for people to get their foot in the door so they can go into 'more creative' disciplines? QA is its own specialized field which requires very capable and specialized professionals.
